In 2004, SBC was established to help oil and gas companies realize dramatic performance improvements and sustained growth. SBC operates independently from Schlumberger but is governed by an Advisory Board chaired by Schlumberger's current CEO, Paal Kibsgaard.

We have grown rapidly to become a global management consulting firm and a leader in the oil and gas sector with over 200 consultants operating from 15 offices worldwide.
To date, we have delivered more than 600 projects in over 30 countries for some of the world’s largest energy companies. These include 60% of the major international oil companies and 70% of the major state-owned oil companies.
